The Program has been established under the Skill India initiative by the centre government. It is a new opportunity for those who want a new skill to earn from but are economically weak. This step ultimately also ensures that the road accidents would now be bleak as compared to before. Drivers' Skilling Program has tied up with various institutes and driving schools that are authorised and have an approved license. The course ensures instilling driving skills for cars, light vehicles and heavy duty vehicles, all with a 42 hour spread within a month. "The learning drivers would be paid a stipend of 4000-6000 per month for learning this course. It has been basically commenced in order to inculcate basic driver etiquettes, road behavior, a basic repairing work so that if the drivers from Haryana are working in any State or country, they are well behaved and become reputed drivers as well. After this government course, there are preparations for the drivers to get recruited as well and for that we are talking with many companies and have formed reliable tie ups too", said the Minister.
