"I was cheated by the Director", Retorts B.N Sharma

The prominent humorist of the Punjabi cinema, B.N Sharma said this in a promotional event on Monday in Chandigarh for his movie, 'Krazzy Tabbar' which is set to release on 7th July. Why did he feel cheated? Sharma dictates his anecdote to his heart's content.

"I am playing the role of the Hero's 'mama' in the film. And unlike my other characters, this one is pursuing a girl throughout the flick. But, at the end that girl is seen going away with some one else and I am left like a fool. Just because I did not get the girl at the end, I feel I am cheated by Ajay Chandok" laughs B.N Sharma.

He further added with a sly smile, "I want the audiences to look at me in this character in theatres on 7th July and give me the feedback as to if this character suits me because for a change my wife also did not mind me playing such a role. If the audience likes it, I am sure in the next film I would be playing roles like this only where I pursue girls."

On serious issues, Sharma gave many interesting insights and gave a few learning lessons that he wanted to spread through the media, "Today's generation is a very hasty one. They don't have any patience. They like to be fast and need speedy results. But, that is not the nature's law. If you sow a seed in the soil, it takes proper care and patience for it to reap results, same is the way with our life. We need to understand the value of tolerance. Today's generation is not understanding the relationships between family members and that is the reason why joint families are being broken into nuclear families. This is also a message that 'Krazzy Tabbar' forlorn to provide."

The cinema satirist also spoke about the youngsters, "The youngsters are rarely given a chance to come forward and showcase their acting skills. All they need is one chance. The government and private institutions are also opening up so many engineering and medical colleges, why not an art school has been in existence till now? The younger generation are moving forward towards suicides and drug related problems which is also dangerous for them. What do they get from it, I don't understand. Deny drugs and all the negativity of life and instead take care of your family, especially your parents that would help a lot in the creation of a better society."
