ABVP claims that the clash happened due to the personal grudges and the involved students were from NSUI. They further defended that the presence if ABVP helpline and car stickers at the incident and recovered by the police does not mean that the party's students were involved in the clash. The party professes that NSUI is doing this with the intention of defaming ABVP.
ABVP insists that the Chandigarh police should further probe in the matter with proper facts and present it all in public domain. In the press conference, present were Harmanjot Singh Gill, member Central Working Committee (CWC) ABVP, Anmol Bhardwaj (SD College President), Udhay Pratap and many other students from SD College to support the claims by ABVP.
