Rains pour, Doesn't affect Ramleela

An ages old tradition didn't wash away with the rain on Friday as the city was facing extremely heavy rains from morning. The committee in Ramleela Ground, Sector-5, Panchkula did not wither away with the water and had an Aarti on the day.

When it was supposed to showcase Ram-Sita wedding bells and the Swaymwar, whole of the ground was drenched and converted into a pool. Still, ignoring all of the weather's wrath, the procession was held with the Aarti, although a bit late than the usual timing. In fact, the announcement in the Pandaal was as such, "Due to heavy rains, we would not stop the Ramleela and all the actors are willing to dramatise the Ram-Sita Swaymwar. Looks like Indra Dev (God of Rains) has all its fury on this auspicious day, but we would not stop." Although there was no crowd in the soaking rains, along with the Panditji, Aarti was done as an initiation to the Ramleela Acts. Also, the actors started preparing for their performance.
