I got my tattoo covered up, but the incident distressed me- Mandira Bedi

Faguni Verma Mandira Bedi, the Indian host, actress, fitness freak, sports anchor, loving mother and a caring wife was in Chandigarh recently for the Signature Master Class talk show where she talked about her journey and more.

(Credits- Mayank Chadha) For a long time, she had been accused for getting an unethical tattoo as termed by some religious sects and of that experience she talks about, "I got it all covered up. It was really depressing for me. Whenever I would come for a shoot in Punjab, I would put a band-aid to conceal the tattoo, but still people used to click the pictures somehow and spread it."

(Credits- Mayank Chadha) She further adds up, "I'm a Sikh myself. My parents did not have a problem, my grandparents did not have a problem, then I don't know why everyone else had a problem with it. But, then I decided that I can't handle it no more, so went for a cover up."

About her big break from TV serials till 2003, Mandira clarified, "Actually I thought my time is done in TV serials. I had worked for about two and a half years in Shanti and then I needed a break to try something new. Shanti had no doubt given me the biggest break of my life. " 

She also confessed that because of her short hair, she's either getting to play a cop or a cop's or gangster's wife. She added jovially, "Many projects are coming up for me but due to my short hair I'm either playing a cop's wife like in Itefaq or playing a cop myself. In one of the films, I'm in fact playing a gangster's wife!" Short hair, no care for this beautiful woman though!
