Ludhiana's Imperial Golf Estate to organize Junior Golf Championship

The lush green 300 acre golfing township, Imperial Golf Estate situated in Mullanpur Dakha near Ludhiana is going to organize a Junior Golf Championship for which the organizers today came to Chandigarh. Their sole motive is to promote the sport of golf starting from the junior league. 

Col C.L Pal, Project Head said, "We are charging no fees from the participants and the tourney would be played over 9 holes. We have on board Joan Volz who is a professional golfer and has been in India since 20 years."

About the project Col Pal elaborated, "We have completed the first phase of the Estate being the golf estate. The irrigation system is a part of the state of the art computerized mechanism. It os going to be a green city with our aim to plant over 8 lakh trees and bushes and 4 lakh varities have already been planted." 

John Volz commented on the Indian golfing system, "I think now many golfers are coming out in Indian contingent as compared to before. When I first came to India, there was only one International golfer in the region, however now the number has risen upto 30 international players. I hope to see more people to take up this interactive sport."
