"Punjab's youth is being misled by the new age music videos"- Gurpreet Gauge

Literally spatting on the music videos that are created today in Punjabi industry, Gurpreet Ghuggi, actor and comedian on Sunday expressed his concern over the impact of the industry on youngsters.

"Weapons and obscenties are a part of our society but they are hidden away from young generation because it affects them in negative way. The Punjabi music videos are showcasing them openely. Just like when a guest is about to come to our homes and we cover all the dust and dusty things away from them, obscenties and weaponary should also be covered in the same way" says the Ardaas actor.



Recently, in town for the promotion of his upcoming movie 'Dastaan-E-Sirhind' that tells the story of the history of Punjab. Ghuggi would be seen in the main lead along side legendary Yograj Singh, Sardar Sohi, B.N Sharma and many more Punjabi cinema's notable actors. Yograj Singh has been associated with the movie idea since 2 years and it has full support and blessings from SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee) for getting the right facts for the movie. This film would exhibit the history in lines with the present day scenario of Punjab. The shoot is yet to start in Canada and the film is all set to be released in 2018.


Working with a young director, Manpreet, Ghuggi shares, "Even though Manpreet is young, he already has a lot of experience in the industry. He has worked as Assistant Directors for various well-known directors. So, I and the other prominent actors on board have full faith on Manpreet's directorial skills."
